The Sweetheart dinner and auction on 02/12/11, Saturday was a fun time for all attendees. Great support was shown by local people, local businesses, and even from some of Bakersfield's residents. Thank you REVA team for such a wonderful event. The decorations were lovely, and really set the mood for all of us that attended. Also, the entertainment made for an all around great evening, and showed that The Kern River Valley has lots of super talent.

Wake up Kern Valley!! The Kern Valley community needs to step up to bat for this worthwhile endeavor, because the longer the valley's residents wait for the other guy to give the monetary support for the medical equipment, the more cats and dogs are left to fend for themselves, and or be killed in our Valley's shelter. Shelter means haven of refuge (protection from danger???), but our shelter kills most of the animals after a 7 day stay, and the TAX PAYER pays for the kill. What's wrong with this picture????

Let's pray and get the word out for this much needed charitable cause. In average month, 112 dogs killed in Shelter in our Valley, and yet people still call radio station during the week to give away unwanted puppies and kittens.
